“I admittedly arrived at a busy time and The Bear was reportedly chronically short of staff. Whilst the room and its cleanliness was excellent, the human side was somewhat chaotic. I queued twice for approx. 15 mins in total only to be told, in regard to ordering food, that the chef was very busy and not feeling well. “On arrival was told restaurant was closed due to a private function. A telephone call would have been appreciated so we could sort out our meals. Also listed as a hotel and was actually a very loud pub.”

It is well located, within walking distance to a main line station, bus network as well as a narrow gauge railway. There are also electric car charging facilities at a nearby car park.
