Our stay at the courtyard Marriott over July 4 was great. The location, next to the metro station, was very convenient to all DC activities. The staff was very nice and friendly. There were some air-conditioning issues in the main spaces, but the rooms were perfectly cool. As a family, we will definitely stay there again.

Unfortunately the hotel was under major construction and was a mess. One elevator worked out of 3, no AC on the 2nd floor where the restaurant|bar is located, drilling noises at 7am, the poor housekeeping staff was overworked/understaffed, valet parking was next level challenging, no trolleys were available to help carry luggage, etc. Thank goodness for the restaurant|bar staff who were wonderful and powered through the AC challenges.

The rooms and the hotel were clean. They did offer a Starbucks if you wanted coffee in the morning. Only downside is that you have to valet your car. There is no parking besides that. So on top of your room rate, you need to plan to pay $55 plus tax for parking a night. It is a very short walk to the TRAM and I would suggest getting a pass to ride. It is unlimited rides with the pass and it has multiple stops that are close to DC attractions. This was actually very convenient. We ended up getting a 3 day pass for like $35.00. The TRAM is clean and safe, even late at night.

The staff were all great. Nicole at the front desk is kind, knowledgeable, reassuring and the hotels biggest asset. The guys on the first floor were amazing and friendly. They remembered us everytime we walked back in. Fantastic experience and great for families. The location was nice for getting to the noma metro station and many restaurants within a ten minute walk.

Stayed here overnight because of an early next day event at the Nationals Park. Front desk attendants were welcoming, friendly and accommodating to our requests. The room temperature was cool and sufficiently roomy for 3 people. The beds were soft and very comfortable. We loved how it was just outside the metro station with Dominos pizza beside for a quick late-night dinner. Definitely a very good stay!
