“On arrival, gave our room key and shown entrance when pub shut how to use everything etc. Put in a room which was fine but had tape down across the floor to the bathroom. When we asked for towels, Tommy apologised and said we should not even be in that room, so he helped my husband move to a bigger and better room. Tommy could not do enough for us. “A mixed review from me. Parking was £10 a night. Windows were filthy.Swimming pool was closed. Most draught beers were out of stock.The over bath shower had a curtain. No biscuits, only 6 milk sachets and curtain rail not connected at one end. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets. So disappointed overall for a claimed 4star hotel.”

“Staff & breakfast excellent. Room was very clean but it was very hot and the drains smelt at times. This severely impacted my sleep. My rating is purely based on that, suspect if i went when it was cooler it would be different. One easy thing to help would be for the windows to be opened fully.”

“This was a lovely Hotel breakfast was great Full English or Continental or you could ask for other things EG I had poached eggs on English Muffin which was lovely. We also had two evening meals which were just as enjoyable Really enjoyed our stay. The only thing I was disappointed with was the price of parking £15 a day was very steep especially being a quest at the hotel and having a disabled husband not being able to take advantage of free disability parking for our entire stay with on...

“Food was great, staff very helpful, bar and dining room very tidy and clean, good range of drinks, both alcoholic and soft although I am out of touch with prices so had a bit of a shock. This is not a negative, just reality. Plenty of parking and convenient at the rear to avoid stairs. Some areas are in need of decorating such as stairwell and corridors however not terrible. “Staff were friendly however the room wasn’t ready for a number of hours after check in and loud music until after midnight. The sheets also had hairs on them.”
