“We stayed for a week over Christmas. The room was clean, comfy and fairly modern. The staff were amazing; helpful and respectful every time we spoke to them. The breakfast was good; selection of cereals, yogurts, fruit and pastries for a light breakfast. Sausage, bacon, scrambled egg and beans if you wanted something hot. Overall, excellent value for money!”

“The sauna swimming pool was a bonus. Breakfast not worth the price if this is not included with your booking. We had a feast outside for breakfast and half the price too. Room don’t get cleaned unless >3 night stay unless special requests made, so don’t expect to come back to a fresh room everyday. Overall pleasant stay.”

“There is ample parking, staff are friendly and helpful. Sadly the hotel building is very dated and in need of urgent updating and maintenance. The carpets are stained and smelly. The beddings and furnishing are old, stained and surfaces are always sticky ! Hairs human, and animal are everywhere . The bathroom is disappointing, leaky flush, cracked basin and water pressure is very low, taking showers is frustrating. “Perfect place to sleep.”

“We stayed in the Linwood Suite for 1 night. The room was spacious, luxurious and comfortable. The breakfast was of a high quality. The room is immediately above the function area and noise travels easily (there was a wedding reception) - we weren't warned about this previously but it was not a problem as we went out to dinner and the noise quietened down before midnight. Unfortunately the experience was ruined by loud noise in the room. It was a mechanical noise which sounded like a generator...

“Excellent food and staff had a great time”

“We stayed here for 3 nights for a family wedding as the reception was at the hotel. The staff were helpful, the room was nice, spacious and generally clean. We did not know parking was an additional charge but was not ridiculous (£4 per day). I particularly enjoyed the power shower and the lobby area on the ground floor which was great for socialising with others after the event.”
