Vacations Close To Lorraine Hansberry Theatre

The hotel lobby is very nice and clean but the room needed better cleaning and the bed quilt was torn and shabby. Bed pillows were not comfortable. Bought pillows at a local Costco just to get a decent night's sleep. Disappointing experience. Staff members were cordial but not friendly.

This is the type of Grand Dame hotel that people used to get excited about staying at. It's beautiful, clean, and approachable. The history oozes from every corner. Watch out for ghosts!!

Beds make noise and hotel is clean enough

A good, clean and efficient city hotel. Bay view rooms do have a lot of light coming in from the outside at night. Bring your sleep mask. Morning pastries and coffee are just adequate but you might bring your own juice as the vending machine is limited. The adjacent Perry's restaurant doesn't open until lunch.

Our room was quiet and easily accessed. The hotel is centrally located for downtown activities.
