“Our first view of the Royal Lion Inn was the renovation structures right at their front entrance. We are not sure if that was due to structural integrity issue or aesthetic reasons. “Lovely friendly staff. Great location and parking was easy. Facilities in the room were good, including a coffee machine and a great fan. We had a really tasty breakfast with a good selection available , I had the eggs Royale and my husband had the full English. Would definitely recommend.”

“Ready enjoyed our stay. Clean, comfortable room. Good choice for breakfast. Staff very pleasant and welcoming. Didn't eat in the bistro restaurant but did enjoy food from the bar menu. We added the Indulgence package to our booking and would really recommend this, well worth the cost.”

“We needed somewhere to stay with our dog and this limits your choices. However, the Golden Fleece was very clean, good supply of refreshments in the room, shower was powerful and hot water plentiful. They even supplied a fan to cool the room, although it wasn't great, it shows a level of care and consideration for guests and was appreciated. The owners we met were friendly and I would definitely consider staying again if we visit the area again. Only negative is they need to remove the cobwebs...
