“A beautiful pub with stacks of character!! Cosy and inviting. Food was excellent, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Locals also welcoming. The area is so picturesque it was a real treat. Would definitely return and planning to try out Sunday lunch sometime in winter to take advantage of the open fireplace. Miniscule gripe was it would be nice to have some nicer bread at breakfast rather than bog standard e.g. sourdough. But that is not a show stopper!! Definitely recommend, but be aware...

“The check‑in and check‑out process was smooth, but we did experience issues on our first evening and struggled to sleep. After speaking with the staff the next morning, they were sympathetic and apologised, then moved us to an available room. We slept much better on the second night, and appreciated their quick response.”

“Badic accommodation. Poor value for money. A pub with rooms. You could smell the fried chips when you opened the door in the car park. The staff were jobs worth and not welcoming. Poorly maintained property which felt grubby. My room had a sash window broken so couldn't open it. Only good thing were the bath towels and good mattress. Pillows awful. Make sure you don't have a room on the front of the hotel as the noise from the road is continous through the night. I would not stay there...
