“Lovely place to stay off the beaten path… The only issue was that the hot water supply never reached what one might call hot… but on an incredibly warm weekend that wasn’t a problem and didn’t detract from our stay… A lovely quiet place to stay, breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed the evening restaurant menu. The beer was excellent. Thankyou for an enjoyable stay.”

“Good location for strolling around Langport with its cafes,independent shops , gardens and river walks . The library is very close with an outdoors area . We had a room in the courtyard , good in the heatwave . Sometimes had to park further away in town car park ..still free ,though in autumn 2026 may have to pay . Staff helpful .”

“We stayed for 2 nights in the family room which had a lovely comfortable king size bed, ensuite with large walk in shower and air con which was a God send. Very clean and quiet. The staff are lovely, food and drinks reasonably priced, breakfast choices good. The beer garden needs some attention but is secure if you have children or a dog. Steep stairs to the rooms which were a bit difficult with our elderly dog but over all a great stay. Please note, although very dog friendly they do charge...

“Hotel was in good condition, however one of the lights for bedtime reading was blown and the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied, but for one night, it was ok. Food was not the best both breakfast and evening. Breakfast hot food was barely warm and evening was the same after waiting 30mins after ordering and only being us and another couple dining. There was a restaurant next door however they fill up fast and had no spaces for us, hence eating in the hotel. In review....book the restaurant next...

“Clean room, with air conditioning, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I had the set Tuesday special menu meal which was very nice and the breakfast was good too. I will definitely stay there again.”

“Lovely comfortable stay. Charming and vibrant village pub with good selection of beers and a good meal. Room was clean and comfortable. Only downside was it was quite hot at night time and the window didnt open much. A fan was provided in the room so Im guessing this is a regular thing. Would definitely recommend though.”

Mexican restaurant, bar and outside space was lovely. There is a local shop and some pubs within walking distance in the village too. Close to Yeovil etc. Would definitely stay again. Thank you”

“We arrived a little early but Sarah was very accommodating and personally showed us to our room (The Coleridge Room) and other facilities at the property. Our room was very clean and tidy. Our bed at home is large but the one in the room was VERY wide (and proved very comfortable)! The ensuite facilities were very good as were the toiletries provided. “It was great EXCEPT there was NO hairdryer in my room (yes I checked all the drawers in everything - Love playing where's Waldo on the hairdryers in the UK) - didn't notice til early the next am 6 am - no one on duty while they offered to bring one up calling number at reception - I was on my way out -”
