“The room was large, bright and clean with the added bonus of a fan. Staff were polite and helpful. Evening meal was superb. If we are in Harpenden again we will definitely stay here again.”

“Fueron muy simpáticos, nos atendieron bien. El sitio nos venía bien por la ubicación a donde teníamos que ir y para los días que íbamos a estar, estaba bien de precio. El baño era pequeño y el hotel sencillo, pero todo correcto. ”

“The bar maid was very argumentative. We told her we had a reservation to which she informed us that they do not take reservation for less than 6 people. When the professional gentleman returned he took us to our table which had our room number on it. Furthermore, she proceeded to serve a tall, good looking man who approached the bar way after we had been standing a waiting.”

“An older property that will be considered characterful or dated depending on your viewpoint. I enjoyed it including the narrow stairs and corridors, and the historic nature of the room, which was not lacking for the usual amenities. I had an excellent dinner and the Full English Breakfast was all you could wish for. The staff were attentive and friendly. It is a short walk from the 24 hr public car park and is in the centre of town.”

“Lovely dinner and staff. Breakfast is sent service continental style, so no cooked options which was a shame after the dinner. It's a 14th century pub, so lots of character and in a small village.”
