Sun Hotel

The staff Sean, Monika and Erin were exceptional. They were friendly, personable, accommodating, attentive and polite. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel menu had a good variety and the food was excellent. It was a great place to stay!

Hitchin centre.

In town, good location. Rooms and corridors dated-possibly due to the hotel been old and having planning restrictions. Car park can be tricky to get a space when busy.

Spot on for a quick overnight stay. Bang in the middle of this nice market town with the huge bonus of its own parking. Room was absolutely fine and breakfast was a bit of a bargain for both continental and cooked to order options. Had all the classic pub food available but was surrounded by restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay again if I return. Nice one!

Great location but hotel could do with some TLC

Stayed for one night - the hotel is in an excellent position and the breakfast was nice - however the room was really tired and the shower room well needed attention smelt musty and the shower is way to small and I’m not big - a finally positive was the bed was comfortable although not big enough if you are over 5ft8.

Lovely couple of days in Hitchin

We had a twin room which was not in the main building. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and the bathroom was very nice. Everything you would want. We didn't eat in the pub or have breakfast as we were going to an early afternoon event which was serving food. We did have a drink and were surprised at the price of the drinks. They were very reasonable. There was a Wetherspoons next door so maybe that was due to the competition. We were right in the centre of Hitchin, which is a lovely place. Some very nice shops and really interesting. We were there for 2 days and had a very enjoyable stay. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay.

This is an old building and has some limitations on what it can do to improve. Rooms and corridors are in need of a refurb. Shower cubicle was tiny. Staff were good and the check in person on reception was very friendly and knowledgeable. Public areas nice and in a good location.

Nice stay in an historic building.

Quaint and charming building, nods to its history. Staff were really friendly and accomodating. The room was reasonably sized and clean. Both it and the bathroom would benefit from being spruced up - the decor is really tired and the window wouldn't shut properly. However, the bed was really comfortable and that made up it. Very good value for the price. Would stay there again.

Hitchin weekend

Had very comfortable and affordable stay whilst visiting family in Hitchin. Would definitely consider returning. All staff were very helpful. Left a couple of items in the room on leaving and these were cheerfully found and kept on reception for pick up.

I was in Hitchin for funeral so was convenient and low room rate however did no have breakfast as water was cold all the time but rooms are comfortable and clean als good shower
