“Excellent facilities. Room absolutely lovely. Comfortable beds. My husband loved the bedside radio. Staff lovely. Food excellent. The only reason I give a 4 out 5 is due to murky water in the kettle. I thought maybe during cleaning it may have had discalcer inside that cleaner forgot to rinse out. But otherwise I would highly recommend the Wherry and would definitely stay again”

The main building itself is nicely located (in a seemingly depressed seaside town) with a clean & spacious bar & dining area overlooking the Esplanade. The breakfast was perfectly decent! However, the room in the building ("Lodge") across the road was sub-par (like most UK budget hotels) but I don't think you'd find it anywhere this bad in a Best Western in the U.S.: No AC & west-facing, no room-darkening blinds/curtains (the light...
