“Advertised as an apartment with breakfast included. But in reality is a chalet bedroom and ensuite. Breakfast was 2 mini yogurts in the fridge, a couple of tiny croissants and cereals. Beverages are DIY. Check in is via a member of staff behind the bar in the pub. Unresponsive to phone calls with the number provided prior to the stay where I attempted to know if there was possibility of an earlier check-in but since not being able to get through I had to check-in at the standard 3pm. “Staff on check in were really lovely, friendly and helpful. Carried our suitcases upstairs which was much appreciated and provided iron and ironing board within minutes. Room 14 is a safety hazard! Tiny step in to the bathroom which is really easy to miss and I actually had a bad fall when staying. There's also a step down in to the bedroom part of the room, so be really careful if you stay in this room. Someone had pre set an alarm on the TV to 5:45am so if you stay here, make sure to check...

“The staff were very friendly on check in. Room was very clean could have done with a chair. The mini fridge and breakfast basket in the room was a very pleasent surprise. Restaurant is not open most days anymore due to no chef. Pubs coffee shops and takeaways are very close to the hotel to get a meal.”

“Wonderful room.. No TV, which we knew, and that was a pleasure. Staff very polite and helpful. Nothing seemed too much for them. The Wi-Fi will be needed, if you want the internet, as poor reception. Excellent breakfast to top it all. Third visit, we'll be back again, maybe next year. :)”

“Spa facilities poorly maintained wood splitting in sauna, no steam room very small pool and small dirty changing facilities. Inadequate gym facilities literally 1 treadmill Old dirty carpet and room smelled old. Tv was inadequate old 1st generation TV. Terrible WiFi signal Reception staff friendly but catering staff not. No food available after 9.30pm no amenities or facilities around to overcome this. Would not recommend staying unless just going to specifically play golf”
