The mattress had springs sticking out, there was rocks in my food, the staff wasn’t very helpful, buffet wait staff was super slow, mattresses were at least 20 years old, and my kid got scratched by the spring from the mattress, and we had to park way too far from the lobby. The bar staff had bad attitudes and not enough bartenders, creating long lines. Besides that, the pool and beach were fun.

Beautiful resort but everything closes early by 5 or 7 PM. Staff is unfriendly and not wanting to help. Just to get coffee in the morning took about an hour to get staff to pay attention to us and serve us. They have only two people serving coffee and you have to wait for them to come around. On top of it, they are grouchy and just try to hurry up and leave without giving you sugar spoons or anything you need for your coffee. Pools close by 5 and 7 PM. Gym closes at 8 PM. The food was not great. But the show was amazing. And that resort itself was clean and very nice. Also be aware if you don’t pay for the plus room you are not allowed in the plus activities and amenities or liquor.

We love this hotel. We got married here 13 years ago and decided to bring our daughter to show her our favourite all-inclusive resort. The rooms were clean and everything is well-maintained. The buffets were good but the a la cartes were only okay and the service wasn’t over-the-top. It wasn’t overcrowded and there were always beach chairs available. Lifeguards were plentiful!

This was our first visit to the Grand Decameron. We enjoyed the whole experience. The facility is nice, a bit dated, but still a well designed. I would recommend it to others looking for an all inclusive stay.
