“We loved this property and area as a whole and to be in Sherborne was fantastic anyway, and so close to the Abbey was beautiful in itself. The in-house staff were brilliant and very helpful too with anything we needed, but I’m afraid the general up keep of the building and facilities in Room 1 (family size) were poor in places like broken fixtures and fittings etc, like the cracked toilet seat lid, the broken (and not working) shaving light and shaver power socket on the mirror in the bathroom...

“Un hotel precioso, nos encantó. Las habitaciones muy hermosas, el baño divino, la lencería fina todo muy ingles, con un detalle de fina coquetería de tenernos un termo con leche y unas galletas de chips de chocolate . ”

“Room very clean, having a fan was very useful in the hot weather.Staff very helpful. Pity no parking on site, but directions to car park clear.”

“Unfortunatly the Pecking Mill Inn was in need of a good clean. Very dated and forgotton. There were beer pumps but not in use. Cans were poured into our glasses and price was not cheaper. Food was on offer but we chose not to beat. Room was unclean. Did not use shower. Geoff was a lovely host and welcomed us.”
