“Tienen varias casas a modo de hotel pero no lo indican en la reserva. Es mas bien casa de huespedes. Calidad del sueño muy buena y cama comoda. Baño pequeño. Alojamiento tipico inglés Mucha luz en habitacion sin cortinas opacas. No ascensor”

“An excellent two night stay at a location we hadn't visited for some years. Our dog-friendly room was really clean . Evening meals were good. Breakfast was not included though we think it is provided at other times of the year. There was however a very good cafe and shop next door that served breakfast, coffee and snacks. We will be back to both establishments in the next few months”

“It was a novel experience to stay in a converted jail. The breakfast was great and the service was overall very good. As a practical stay with two young kids I found the rooms to be on the small side (perhaps expected for a converted jail) and not so comfortable as a place to just unwind after a day of sightseeing. I would perhaps recommend it for a one night stay, just to try it out, but not for longer.”

“Helen and Paul must be two of the nicest and kindest hosts we've met. After a 6 hour drive, to arrive to a cream tea laid out in the apartment was truly a lovely touch. One of the cleanest places we've ever stayed, they'd literally thought of everything you could need. You name it, it was there, potato peeler, sieve, cling film, foil the works. “The Royal Oak is a great old inn, with a well-stocked bar and excellent food. Terrific ambiance, inside and out, including outdoor dining options, The hosts were helpful and charming, going out of their way to make us feel welcome and helping me fix a scheduling hiccup too. “Beautiful old world building with lovely rooms, bar the bathroom being upstairs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good especially the breakfast. Very disappointed that they had a special curry and pint offer where you couldn't have and alternative drink and when we ordered the curry anyway we were charged £20 without the beer wheras it was £15 with the beer!”
