It’s a motel and the sign outside calls it a motel. Good location. Handicapped room which I dislike using. Fridge and microwave OK. Lots of towels, no maid service. Nothing terrible, just expensive for a 1980”s motel.

We have been staying here for many years, over a decade, and appreciate how easy and simple this place is. Kinda an old but updated property that has always been great. Excellent location and you can walk to water and food, or even the co-op food store is close.

The bedroom area is extra large. The kitchen has a sink, microwave and breakfast counter with bar stools. The refrigerator kept our drinks cold. There is water coming up between the bathroom floor tiles and the bed has a large dip in the middle. The day staff is very helpful.

If you’re looking for a simple motel room that’s clean, well maintained, conveniently located, has easy parking and a friendly staff then this is the place. Short walk to shops, bars and restaurants. The water view is a bonus. Would stay here again.

The room was clean, and the temperature was perfect - the a/c was perfect and I didn’t feel like I had to fiddle with it all night the way I do in some fancy hotels. The check in clerk was fantastic, and really seemed to take an interest in why we were there. Our cat felt right at home too!

We stayed with my adult kids just for a night while we were visiting town. This place had the worst bathrooms we have seen. The shower stall was barely 3x3 ft, my 5ft10 son couldn't even move his hands around. There was no extra hooks for hanging anything inside bathroom and towels were just thin and overused. Rooms were clean enough and mostly everything in the room was functional. But toiletries were just extremely basic and low quality. The size of the room especially bathroom was tiny, not worth at all the money we paid for one night. If you are traveling with family recommend getting extra rooms or better yet find another place as this motel facility is not maintained and felt like a rip off.

We arrived after midnight and knew in advance that no one would be at the front desk. Our room was left unlocked with the key on the table, which was fine. However, the condition of the room when we arrived was not acceptable, and because it was already past midnight, we had very few options for addressing it. There was hair and fuzz on the pillows, and the entire room had an odd, musty smell. I probably would not have been as upset if this were a $100-a-night room, but we paid $277 a night. After spending a long day out on the water, we were exhausted and just wanted a clean, comfortable place to sleep. I ended up putting my own towel over the pillow and sleeping in a hooded sweatshirt and socks because that was the only way I felt comfortable sleeping in the bed. It was definitely not a pleasant experience. I understand that this is the busy season and that lodging options in Port Townsend are limited, but when you are paying more than $250 for a hotel room, you should at minimum be able to expect clean bedding and a fresh-smelling room. Unfortunately, we had neither.

I am giving this hotel a 5 Star rating because they contacted me by both email and phone to inform me that they had found my iPad that I had not realized that I left behind. They then made it very easy to work out the arrangements to return it to me via UPS. Of course there will be a cost - but it was my error.... I really appreciate the honest and helpful staff! Otherwise, this is a very adequate basic clean and comfortable hotel with thin walls. Bring earplugs in case there is loud snoring in the next room.
