“We stayed for 2 nights in the family room which had a lovely comfortable king size bed, ensuite with large walk in shower and air con which was a God send. Very clean and quiet. The staff are lovely, food and drinks reasonably priced, breakfast choices good. The beer garden needs some attention but is secure if you have children or a dog. Steep stairs to the rooms which were a bit difficult with our elderly dog but over all a great stay. Please note, although very dog friendly they do charge...

The room was quite basic and a little dated, but it had the essentials, including a double bed, tea and coffee-making facilities, and towels. Unfortunately, the TV in my room had no signal, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, given the warm weather, it would have been nice to have a fan in the room, as there were no facilities to help with the heat.
