“We loved the features throughout the building. The beams, low ceilings, uneven floors...really kept the character of the building. Rooms were nice albeit a bit strange having the shower in the room and not in the ensuite but good use if available space given grade 2 listed building regulations.”

“Llegamos un domingo, y no se si es que no habia servicio de limpieza ese dia o que, pero el baño estaba completamente sin limpiar, el espejo daba pena de lo sucio que estaba, y el suelo solo un poco barrido. Al día siguiente si que lo dejaron bastante bien, pero la cama solo estiraban el edredon y nada más. No cambiaron las toallas, ni la alfombrilla de la ducha. El desayuno es inglés, que no lo probamos, pero fuera de eso, solo hay zumo y tostadas, nada más. Y los vasos del desayuno estaban...

“Another great stay at the Crown & Garter. Friendly helpful check in & room was very comfortable & spotless as usual. Had a meal with family in the evening & can definitely recomnend eating here - food is excellent, using local ingredients. Had bacon rolls to takeaway on checkout, which was a nice surprise. Looking forward to our next stay - we wouldn't go anywhere else when visiting the area.”

“Big, clean comfortable room, ideal for a family of 4. Staff were excellent and food at dinner and breakfast were really good - a good step up from standard pub food. Home made cookies, and crayons and activity sheets for the kids in the room were a lovely addition.”

“I everything, from entering until leaving our stay was amazing. We hadn’t even left and we were looking at when we would be coming back. The staff were very helpful. Only concern was the noise coming from the spa which was directly below our room, we were not notified that at 7.30am a loud humming noise would be heard. When we do rebook we will be wanting a different room (room 16) apart from that it was great!”
