“Charles is a personable and well-informed innkeeper. The house, bedrooms, and common areas were all warm and inviting. Lovely decor throughout. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends and family.”

“Extremely kind hostess who personally cooked and served a high quality breakfast every morning. Swiss Family Robinson Room, on 4th level of a house on a hill, was beautiful and very comfortable, especially with windows open on cool October nights;”

“We enjoyed our hosts and the property.”

“The Garden Gate is a wonderful place, and I hope it will remain that way after is sold by the current owners. Carol the current owner has taken so much pride in her facility and invested so much of herself operating her business. Her influence is everywhere, but she has decided it is time for a new venture in her life, and so well deserved for her and Doug. We wish them the best as we do the new owners. If we make it back to Amish country, I would not hesitate to reserve another room.”

“Thank you Scott for your hospitality and great service. The room and bathroom were very clean. I loved the cozy vibe and the neighborhood full of very nice old houses. Definitely recommend the stay here.”

“Wonderful area and personable. Super deco.”

“After booking on your web site, where it stated that there was only one room left...we arrived to find that the property has NOT been open for months. We had to find a room, which was hard on a Friday afternoon. Also, we were worried that we would be charged for three nights in a place that was not open. The mail box was over flowing with mail, there was Xmas decorations still out. We are not happy at all.”

“Quiet and peaceful. A beautifully restored 19th Century farmhouse, comfortable rooms, friendly hosts, and a great breakfast offered as an add-on.”

“Emma’s is such a beautiful house! So many great antiques and beautiful art. The room was big, had everything we needed, cozy big bed, bathroom linens etc. There are robes in the room and small toiletries as well. The owner, Ron, is delightful and so accommodating. Breakfast was big and filling. Coffee hot! Easy access, plenty of parking, absolutely zero complaints. No fuss, which is nice to comparable options. No to-do lists. Just a gorgeous house, a comfy bed, hot breakfast, and a wonderful...

“Louie greeted me upon my arrival and gave me a rundown of the property. He was friendly and answered all my questions. He even showed me so much of his art collection! Louie is a wonderful host. I would've loved to talk to him more. I only stayed one night since I was just passing through Akron. I have added The Berrodin Bed & Breakfast to my list of good stops!!”

“The Inn was great! Loved the tranquility of the setting. The owner was very friendly. Bentley the resident canine pet was very friendly and gentle.”
