“Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. “This was a beautiful, historic hotel. All the communal areas were lovely and the food and service was excellent. My dad's room was lovely and cool, but ours was stuffy and too hot on the third floor. The fan made little difference and we struggled without aircon; we were very unlucky. Staff helped with ice buckets but couldn't switch us to another room as the place was full. A second fan did help a bit with the overnight heat, but we had to spend a lot of time out if the room for comfort.”

“Muy caro para lo que es, no es un 4 estrellas como indican, habitaciones sin aire acondicionado y el servicio de restaurantes normal, los hoteles en Southhampton todos sin excepción están sobre valorados precios mas caros que Londres, se aprovechan de la necesidad de los pasajeros que van a los cruceros y tienen que hacer noche en la ciudad”
