“So lets start with the positive. the hotel is impressive and the room I was given was a good size. And unlike many hotels they have a full suite of Spa facilities (pool, jacuzzi (incl outside), steam room and sauna) However Issues: 1. Reception staff are a little stone faced. And it came as a shock that they wanted a deposit of £50 per day I was staying, something that was not made clear to me previously and took a large chunk out of my vacation budget 2. website shows some rooms with a pine...

“We stayed one night as a stopover on our way home to Scotland. We had a superior double room in the lodge part of the hotel. Stunning room. Very spacious even with what looked like a super king bed. Lovely to have the little terrace space. Had a delicious meal in the restaurant and excellent breakfast in the morning. Loved the different options to normal offerings with overnight oats and yoghurt smoothies. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely dog friendly hotel which we’d love to...

“We had a one night stay, so didn’t use many of the facilities. Our room was small, but warm, clean and well stocked with tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries. Our problem was with access to the hotel. It was dark when we arrived, Harrogate had many one way roads and a lot of roadworks semi-closing others. We eventually had to abandon the car, walk to the hotel and ask for help as to how to get into the car park. Staff were very helpful and got us sorted. We had booked a space in the car park,...

“Todo muy cómodo”

“Old Swan Hotel Marvellous - We found this hotel very charming. Upon arriving, the reception lady was very welcoming and friendly. We booked an Executive Suite - great value for money. Suite was very clean and very spacious. However, does need updating as no aircon, no USB plus sockets and furniture very dated. Dining room very beautiful, staff friendly and breakfast delicious. Beautiful lounge areas to relax in. Would I stay again - absolutely. Would I recommend - absolutely.”

“The staff was really nice and always willing to help. The hotel was antique and some stances could be refurbished although it also has the beauty of that age. ”

“We were here for a wedding. Everything ran like clockwork and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. One word of warning, if you have mobility issues make sure you are on a floor serviced by a lift”

“This is a delightful place. The staff is wonderful. The building is charming”

“Excellent stay. Everything you’d wish for.”

“Absolute gem of a place to stay. Gorgeous room with everything you need & so peaceful. The food was really good both for dinner & breakfast. We visited Fountains Abbey which was only 2 miles away. And we could do parkrun with plenty of time to get back before checkout & eat breakfast. Would love to return.”
