“Friendly reception and service. Room was non-smoking but one could notice it had been smoking before, every time at entering the room. Comfortable bed. It's clear the bathroom had been renovated, but why wasn't at least one hook installed to hang towel and/or clothes? Very frustrating, moreover as the (gliding) door wasn't of any help here either.”

I had emailed and asked for an inside room after reading several reviews saying that the outside stable rooms were dark and dingy; needless to say when we arrived we were booked into an outside room! “This is a good hotel for a stay of one or two nights. However, in general the building needs an update. Especially if I look to the price a paid for the room. The bathroom is clean but basic. The restaurant offers exceptable food. The breakfast is too basic (the bread is not good, nothing to choose, very basic and dry). The staff is very fiendly.”

“Lovely room, quiet location”

“Great place to stay, staff were excellent”

“Lovely staff, lounge areas are exquisite. Restaurant is very expensive, as are all beverages from the hotel - even before the 12.5% mandatory service charge. Expect a dinner bill of £200 + for just two guests and one bottle of wine - it really is not worth it for the minuscule portions.”

“Bit confusing the layout but nice clean hotel and food good”
