This beautiful old hotel is full of charm, character, and history--the kind of place that feels special the moment you walk through the door. The staff was truly hospitable, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Their genuine Southern hospitality added so much to the experience.
I am used to having a refrigerator in my room, but I honestly did not miss it because the atmosphere and character of this property more than made up for that small convenience. The courtyard was absolutely beautiful--a peaceful, picturesque space that really captures the charm of this unique hotel.
If you appreciate historic properties, beautiful architecture, and a memorable experience beyond a typical hotel stay, the Malaga Inn is a wonderful choice. I would gladly stay here again.
The room was clean, bed was okay, pillows need improvement. The lobby was very clean. The staff is the best part. They are all so kind & friendly, they do whatever you need to make your stay good. Love the staff. It’s nice to walk to restaurants and the main streets of downtown Mobile.
Super cute hotel in the middle of the downtown area (I believe it was the historical downtown area). Great place to stay if you want to take in a walk to near by restaurants and park. We walked down to the park and there was a free concert going on, which was great. Found a near by restaurant with great food. I would recommend this place and would stay there again.
Beautiful place to stay. The room was perfect for our family. Very interesting place with an incredible staff. That will answer any questions. We hope to come back next year.
Very old, poorly maintained building. The first room I was in was so creepy. Curtains were old and yellowing, bed skirt sagging. Room was hot and muggy. I asked to change rooms and staff was kind and immediately put me in a better room but it was still old with damaged furniture. There was a portable A/C taped with duct tape into the window and a dirty box fan. This was an upgrade. The bathroom was very clean though. The doors have key entry that take 10 minutes to unlock because the door knobs are so old. Great location though.
I love the property and hotel staff was great, will definitely stay here in the future again!

Plenty of easy parking close up. Quiet location in safe area. Beds were very comfortable. Older building with some expected issues that need attention but room was clean and had what we needed for overnight stay.

Beautiful historic lodging and friendly helpful staff
Very large, clean room. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Very interesting history behind the two townhomes that were connected to make this hotel. Wish there had been a fridge and microwave in the room. Bar was not open since the season had not started yet, although we stayed just days before Memorial Day weekend. Great location, very walkable and safe. Would certainly stay again.
The staff at this hotel bent over backwards to help us with room changes and to ensure our stay was as comfortable as could be. The weather was terrible when we arrived, with heavy rain and flooding in the area. The staff assisted us with a room change that greatly helped us to be much more comfortable, and everyone was friendly, kind, and helpful. We would happily stay here again.
This is a lovely old, historical hotel centrally.located near downtown. Our room was large , airy, & bright. Bed was comfy & nice modern shower & bath. Loved the little courtyard with the fountain. Perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. BYOB as there is no bar or restaurant on sight but just blocks from many options. Wonderful staff, easy, quick checkin, ample parking. We did not encounter any ghosts. Very enjoyable!
Amazing and like a step back in time and was easy to disconnect from the real world. Cable wasn’t working in my room, but just needed to update the cable box. Heather, was so nice and filled me in on the history. What began as a stay due to location and pricing for a work trip, will now be a go-to for future trips both personal and business
