“Really friendly, cheerful and helpful staff. Good atmosphere. Large old building, our room was recently updated and was modernised nicely and spotlessly clean. It was very big but still warm with very large comfy bed and powerful shower. TV & Kettle in the room with normal sachets of tea/coffee etc Good breakfast offering kept warm and you could ask for GF bread, cereal and freshly made scrambled eggs. Nice coffee too. I liked the fact there seemed to be little waste as the offering wasn’t too...

“Hotel was under renovation and their was a fault on the fire alarm panel both mornings which didn't make the stay feel all that safe with the major renovations going on. Their was no curtains over the window you could clearly see where the pole was taken out the extractor fan didn't work in the bathroom so the window was constantly open and didn't look like it could close. After the stay I recieved another bill from the hotel which km disputing through hotels.com as I had paid for the room...

“geat hotel. could not fault it with anything even toilet paper good quality unlike most hotels. breakfast was excellent with lots of choice very good value for money and i would recommend it”

“The property was under a remodel and we were completely unaware. Some of the lights in the room did not work and the shower head leaked. There were holes in the floorboards and several floorboards felt like they would fall through. We had to walk around spots on the floorboards to avoid the sensation of possibly falling through. We stayed in 3 different premier hotels and this one was stand alone horrible. Thankfully we checked in late and left at dawn. Fan in the bathroom did not work either....

“A very stylish restaurant with rooms with a nice little bar to boot. We enjoyed our one night stay in one of the smaller rooms. The bed was fabulous. Quality linen and such a comfortable mattress. In fact everything was top quality and the room had all you could need, including a nip of whiskey each if you like it. We also appreciated the free water and the pay for mini bar but would have liked some sugar free drinks. Your traditional biscuits on the tea tray might also have been nice. My...
