“Proper country pub great food and ale and quiet location”

“Immaculate room, very comfortable. Excellent bathroom - good shower, good towels, shower gel provided. Wifi worked fine - no problem connecting and good speed. Staff were very helpful and very friendly - that's the stand-out thing, really, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was everything I'd want and very tasty. A pot of tea (with two teabags) and a pot of hot water meant there was plenty of my favourite beverage. Very happy with the evening dinner from the bar menu...

“The bathroom was in a poor start of repair. The side bath panel was water damaged and obviously been treated and then left Showing further damage and falling apart. The bathroom mirror required changing with various black marks across it. The thermostatic controls were really stiff and couldn’t be fully used for both hot and cold. “The house was spacious and cosy. Plenty of outdoor space for the children to play. Plenty of games to play, lots of butterflies and bees and swings in the trees. Shame the ponds were dried up because of the heat but the areas are lovely. An amazing holiday for our family. Thank you.”

“We had a lovely weekend in the Shepherd's hut. Very cosy. It is in a very rural position but only a short drive from Beccles and Bungay- we loved the foodie shops in Bungay and the on-site farm shop. It was great to pop out in the morning to grab still warm eggs from the chicken coop, and the goats and piglets kept us thoroughly amused. A really relaxing stay.”

“Standards have fallen at the Westleton Crown. Outside, several car park bays were inexplicably cordoned off so there was a shortage of available spaces. Inside there was a bucket catching a leak from a skylight in the main dining room. The corridor, staircase and bedroom carpets are dirty and worn. The seat in our WC fell off. Overall, the decor is old, tired and in urgent need of an uplift. We will certainly think carefully before booking the Crown again anytime soon, and we will certainly not...
