“Exceptional! Lovely building and room, very helpful hosts and a great breakfast. Ideal for Hadrians Wall walking and cycling.”

“The bedroom was excellent,clean well furnished and appointed. The only small criticism was that there was a lack of comfortable space away from the restaurant space and bar but as we were only staying one night this didn’t matter too much. The breakfast was excellent and the bar food,whereas it was well prepared, was a little limited in choice. We would however stay again.”

“Don’t bring a cat - there’s no room to swing it in the bedroom. And the TV was comically small. That being said, it was clean and tidy and the food excellent. Staff also very friendly.”

“Es un hotel situado en un pueblo tranquilo en el centro del Muro de Adriano ideal para explorar Cumbria y Northumberland. Está bien comunicado por tren y autobuses. Dueños encantadores y buena carta de desayuno. Tiene unas habitaciones situadas en la parte trasera planteadas como un pequeño apartamento con entrada desde el patio. “Quirky place to stay! Lovely big room for our family of four, in peaceful surroundings next to a ruined castle and 10 minutes from Hadrians Wall! Friendly staff and nice home cooked food for dinner and breakfast!”

“Staff were excellent and so helpful. Food and breakfast service was first class. The bathrrom was very modern clean and well kept. The carpet was stained and did have a little fusty smell however the overall experience and amenties were good in the room. The tea caddy table did need to be bigger was difficult to make drink on there. ”
