“Lovely stay, just a few yards from the sea front. Lisa and Christophe made us feel very welcome. The swimming pool was great and just what you need after a long drive or busy day around Torbay. The breakfasts we enjoyed each morning were delicious and kept us full throughout the day. Would definitely return and highly recommend a stay at the lovely Charterhouse if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Torquay.”

“Large clean room with sofa bed and a double bed. Small fridge and hairdryer. Large bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Shower floods bathroom everytime due to not having a door/screen to floor meaning you have to use 3 towels on floor to stop this, bad design in my opinion. Breakfast was your normal buffet restaurant, nit a lot of gluten free options avaliable, asked for some gluten free bread and was handed one small slice. Hotel close to beach, and town so great location. Not enough parking...

“The hotel overall was good. Me and my wife was here for a short stay. The staff was very friendly, breakfast was lovely. We had to check out early as my wife had work to do and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only thing I'd say could be improved here is that they can have AC put in at the hotel because it does get hot inside during hot weather”

“The price was very reasonable for a 4 star property but it certainly did not feel 4 star as the property was very tired and in need of a refresh and update. Also disappointing that the wifi did not reach our room. However the staff were attentive and friendly and the location perfect for the seafront”
