I return to Velvet Hotel time after time. The staff are always friendly and super helpful no matter what time you check in or out. The rooms are unique with incredible decor - I look forward to finding out if I've been allocated a different room each time I stay. I'm not sure I want to recommend it too highly as it might be booked up when I want to stay next time!

Check in was quick, received an upgrade to a Duplex Suite, which I didn’t know until I got to the room. Hotel is well located, few mins walk from Piccadilly, and into the city. Suite was lovely. Had its own bar area, well Stocked fridge and snacks. Big bathroom with a great bath, separate shower. And an upstairs toilet next to the bed on the mezzanine level. The room was a welcome change the usual bland hotel rooms I’m used to in the larger chains. Will defo be back:

The Velvet is pure class top to bottom. Rooms are immaculate and it situated in the gay village and super close to Manchester Piccadilly. The staff are so helpful and caring. They really looked after me. I love the Velvet hotel, I'm going to stay there again next year.

In the heart of the gay village, this was the perfect location for my visit. A safe and walkable to so many areas of the city. A vibrant nightlife just outside the door, yet my room was so quiet you wouldn't know it.

Hotel is on canal street, so be careful if you’re staying Friday or Saturday… it gets very lively outside. We stayed on Sunday, was very quiet. The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was the best part, huge standalone bath and lovely walk in shower. The breakfast is brought to your room - it’s pretty basic, couple of dry pastries, two boxes of cereal and some weak juice. Bed was decent and the room was as expected. There are a fair few stairs and the lift is very rickety (and it really smells in the lift and the entrance hall to the lift). The staff were nice enough, nothing special offered - but nothing really needed from us. Glass of Prosecco on arrival was a nice touch. Would consider staying again - but likely go for something a little more central.

Our room was wonderful, big, plenty of room for everybody. The staff were wonderful, very happy to give us directions and a print out of the restaurants near us. Very easy to walk to shopping and China town. I have just one complaint… Saturday night the music was so loud it was hard to sleep. We did talk to the check in desk about the music. He did tell us it was not the hotel but the next bar to us. We do understand the Velvet hotel has no control over the music. However Sunday it was very good.
