I didn’t visit Manchester at all; just flew in and out from there.

Manchester was a great and very friendly place to visit and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to the UK. Plenty of shops,Pubs and restaurants where ever you walk . I am looking forward to returning with my wife to the Manchester.
We didn't stay in Manchester - only saw the airport and train station.
