“Selected Wheatsheaf based on location travelling from Scotland to South Coast. We're told at reception that the room was up 2 flight of stairs but it would be worth it, Walking into room 12 our breath was taken away, it was definitely worth the climb. Dinner that evening and breakfast next morning we're excellent. Will definitely be back. Jim and Lorna”

“We only had an overnight stop here, but it was a great place to stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room and general public areas of the property were all fine. We had an evening meal and a full breakfast and they were both very tasty. Having an EV charger (22kW) in the car park was a really useful bonus as we left our car to charge overnight. Would definitely stay here again.”

“La habitación olía a cañerías y estaba muy mal iluminada. Por el precio pagado, el baño dejaba mucho que desear. Al WC le faltaba la tapa, había mucho moho en el techo del baño y la grifería estaba vieja y faltaban piezas. Había una lámpara de techo justo encima de la ducha que no se ajustaba bien al techo - un peligro! El desayuno OK, la parte continental era muy escasa aunque bajé a las 9:15 lo que podría considerarse algo tarde allí. El garden breakfast tenía la peor salchicha vegetal que he...

“La cama más incómoda jamás vista, los muelles toda la noche clavándose en la espalda. Un ruido del ventilador del baño toda noche sin poder pararse. Horrible la decadencia de este hotel”

“El desayuno es el típico inglés. Poco más a destacar. La carne, en la Brasserie, demasiado hecha, aunque las pidas poco hecha. El Fish & Chips sí se les da bien. Muy buen gym. La piscina interior no llegué a probarla, pero muy buena pinta. Habitaciones correctas. Si te duchas en hora punta salen 4 gotas… a las 6 sale con presión. Eso sí, solo por visitar la parte antigua, merece hospedarse allá.”
