“The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available.”

“Fantastic apartment in a great location for visiting Chester. Parking is located a bit away from the property and can be a bit difficult to find but only a minor thing. Everything else was really good including the communications from the owner. Highly recommend. ”

“The house was very impressive because it was so clean, well decorated and very functional. Most important requirements were available plus extras such as a washing machine and tumble drier. WiFi was instant and two large TV sets had good coverage. We were there however in mid June in a heatwave. Although air conditioning would have been fantastic, the provision of a couple of small fans would have been helpful. This though would not stop my return to the property as it was really superb.”

“This is a beautiful place in a gorgeous setting. The views are tremendous, it’s quiet, peaceful and very relaxing but only 10 mins from anything you might need. “Location was great- 10 min walk to centre. Property was huge- good for hen/stag do, which it is probably aimed at. The property is tired, showers cold or low pressure/ not overly clean. Feels like it needs a good deep clean, wouldn’t want to walk round with bare feet. Unfortunately, one of our party cut their foot on smashed glass in the hot tub. Additionally, one of the children also found smashed glass on the floor in the living area but fortunately was not hurt. ”
