“Great location about 10 minutes drive into the City.
Large, clean room with tea, coffee etc and fresh milk in fridge & bottled water too.
Quirky room as part of an old pub so floors a little uneven and steepish staircase to get to rooms, but didn’t detract from the stay.
Breakfast was delicious and staff all extremely friendly & helpful.
As it’s a pub, you are obviously aware of noises from the pub during the day and evening but as soon as it closes, it’s very quiet.”

“Lovely lodges, well maintained and nice hot tub
Only disadvantage is not being able to keep the car at the lodge as my friend has poor mobility. We had been promised the lodge closest to the restaurant building, but we weren't put in there unfortunately”

“We were given a warm welcome on arrival; always found a space to park in the car park; loved the location (right next to the river). No complaints about the room, bed or en suite, with all being clean, comfortable etc. Great breakfasts provided if required. All in all, excellent value for money, and most likely where we will return to next time we are in the neighbourhood.”

“Lovely old pub in beautiful location, excellent breakfast, with home made preserves. The dinner menu looked very exciting but sadly we were dining elsewhere. Staff most helpful, carrying luggage and providing information. There is an onsite brewery!
The night was extremely hot, so difficult to sleep, but very comfortable bed and well equipped room. The bathroom could have done with refurbishment to the tiling and taps, but was acceptable. There is a large parking area, by the river garden.”
