“Parking is very convenient and close to the village centre. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room is very small and not what was advertised. It had a skylight but no windows. Towel warmer didn’t work. Breakfast hours were advertised for 9-10:30. When we arrived at 10 they told us breakfast was closed, but when I pointed out their own hours listed on the card, they did make us breakfast.”

“The suite we had was very comfortable and the bed was probably the best I have ever slept in, in a hotel. The view of the River Avon and the weir was beautiful.”

“For a simple stay over this is an excellent pub with rooms, nothing fancy but very welcoming. all rooms basic but en suite and have all that is required for a simple stay. In the bar/restaurant the food is good and the beer is as well. Wi Fi available throughout but can be a little patchy in the bedrooms. Breakfast is cooked to order with good fresh ingredients and is first rate. I stay here frequently and will continue to do so.”

“Our luxury double room was spacious, clean and kept clean by staff each day. The only comment we would make was that the continental breakfast was not exciting and therefore somewhat disappointing for my wife who does not eat the cooked option.”

“Property was convenient for Stratford. Bed very comfortable. A great selection of quality toiletries. Owners were welcoming and advised us of recommended places to eat prior to our visit. As we were staying on a Saturday evening we were able to book a table in advance at what was a very popular venue. Would definitely stay when in the area in the future.”

“Sunny Nest is actually walking distance to the main area of Bourton-on-the-water. They have a farm with donkeys and goats, right out the back yard from the breakfast room. The owner lives on the lower level and has a nice display set up with Cotswold information brochures. There is parking on-site. Breakfast is excellent and the menu is varied. Aside from the usual English breakfast, you can get yogourt, fruit and other egg options and even smoked salmon. I would highly recommend Sunny Nest.”

“This older home was well maintained and comfy. It was close to the centre of Banbury and down the hill to Banbury Cross and the statue of the lady on the horse. Breakfast is included and there is a wide range of cold or hot meal options; there is a kettle in the room with tea bag’s and coffee packs with sugar and UHT milk made it easy to have a hot drink in your room early morning or in the evening. For being on a busy road it was very quiet. Michelle is welcoming, but leaves you to get on with...

“Simply wonderful and lovely with attention to detail. Nice touches like fresh flower and double sink bathrooms. Beautiful little town wish we had more time to stay. Self check in property. Was lower floor with alley and restaurant patio outside windows but no real noise. The ambiance was terrific.”
