“While the cottage was in a lovely location and it was great seeing the old trains going past occasionally, we were actually a little disappointed with it otherwise. The cottage was quite grubby in places, especially the kitchen extractor fan which had dirt and grease dripping from it. There was also a lot of cobwebs scattered about. “Wonderful stay! Accommodation was very clean, well equipped and lovely and warm after a day walking in the rain! Food was great and staff very attentive. Wonderful views, very peaceful and the cabana was a bit different which the kids loved especially going up the ladder to bed.”

Good choice menu in the evening but disappointed that apple and blackberry pie not available for 4 nights of our stay! Dog friendly - which is great for dog owners but personally - I wasnt so happy re a couple with 2 big dogs being allowed into the dining room in the evening.”

Was very close to Snowdon making a sunrise hike possible and the amenities such as water and snacks were lovely. “The room was terrible with a smashed bathroom basin, so I asked for another room. The 2nd room had a smelly damp, mouldy bathroom. There were no common areas. The bar/restaurant areas were kept closed/locked. Reception staff were not at the hotel full time. Only sporadically during the day.”
