“We thought the room was not worth the price. It was a bit shabby and lacked the extras with a room that price. Early evening we saw two rats outside on our patio. There was a lack of staff at certain times and this was communicated to us when asking for breakfast. The bar and gardens were lovely, they were very helpful with our food choices but the Sticky toffee pudding was not to a good standard.”

“Not a good experience. I was unable to shower for most of my stay. 1st night - no cold water 2nd night - no hot water 3rd night - no water at all Every time I called reception about it, the responses were dismissive “we know, we’ve called a plumber”. The bed, whilst ok comfort wise, had ill-fitting sheets that revealed bare foam rather than an actual mattress, a headboard that moved if you sat up against it, and I woke with a number of bites. “Quite peaceful stay away from major towns, staff thoughtful and willing, nice room with large bed (some low ceilings). Excellent evening meal.”
