“The room was clean and tidy, with some parts that needed a bit of love but nothing that spoilt the stay. We stayed in a front room facing the road which was a bit noisey as its quite a busy road but shutting the window at night kept it bearable and sleepable.. The food was very good we had breakfast and dinner and the menu was varied and worth the price which was not expensive either. The service was exceptional especially in the restaurant. “This is a great hotel if you are coming to Taunton by train as it is next to the station. There is also good free parking and it is only a fairly short and easy walk into the centre of town. There also pubs and other shops in the immediate area.”

“The property as a whole was in poor condition and was not clean. The food was not very nice. It appeared to be from a food service company, just thawed, cooked and served. It is clear that the premises had not been subjected to a health and safety impact assessment. For example, the showers were in the bath and no non-slip mats were provided. “We had an excellent overnight stay, the staff were helpful and efficient, room clean and in good condition, the hotel public spaces were well furnished and also in good condition. Breakfast was very good, enough choice, my wife having a vegan breakfast was no problem at all, food was fresh and well cooked. Overall a great experience and we will be happy to use Holiday Inn Express again.”
