“We chose the property because it is very close to a quarry we are usually going to dive. Unfortunately, due to roads restriction and closures, we spent nearly half an hour instead of six minutes. Anyway, close to the place there are a couple of pubs and we had a good time”

“Friendly staff including one who formerly and by sheer coincidence worked at the good old boarding school I proudly attended years ago. Overall, I’m extremely impressed with everything including the high standards location and amenities. Cleanliness were very good apart from some surfaces needed a little dusting and one of the bedroom lamps didn’t work though again, overall the standards are extremely high and I’d certainly recommend future guests and I’d certainly return.”

“Attentive and friendly staff. Comfortable room. Good food.”

“Lovely old building, well located and enough parking at the back of hotel in side street. Comfortable bed, room was well maintained, especially the bathroom. Room was spacious enough for one person.”

“The room was lovely and clean. Super comfy bed and I really loved the dine-in kit. The hot tub was a great addition, very clean and easy to use. Had great communication with the team. Thank you !”

Breakfast was very good food & service. All staff attentive, willing & helpful. Would stay again but aim for Lapwing upgrade.”

What really impressed me about the hotel was the extra details everywhere to make it really welcoming and easy for families. Toys, games, high chairs, ramps and accesible options - and even some secret doors for elves & fairies hidden around the place. The hotel has a super heated, indoor swimming pool, and a playground outside. I also really appreciated the box of "help yourself" to...
