Vacations Close To Jerome Duncan Ford Theatre

The perfect hotel if you'r stuck overnight at DTW and have an early flight. They have a free shuttle bus to the airport, and the staff are super friendly.

The staff was always nice and as helpful as they could be. The rooms were clean... could use a deep clean. Parking was free and gated which was nice because a lot of homeless people around the area. The beds were comfortable. But walls are paper thin Expected to hear neighbors... Coffee bar does have good coffee at a reasonable price.

The carpet had stains, one of the chairs had a stain. Outlet in bathroom didn’t work. We had no idea of a breakfast.

We were delayed in Denver for a whole night on our way to Detroit last Sunday and they wouldn’t cancel our reservation and give us a refund or even hold our room until we got there. I called the next day and let them know we weren’t going to make it until after midnight and they said they would reinstate our reservation and hold the room for us. Our flight was delayed again and we arrived at Comfort Inn at 2 AM on the second night that we were supposed to stay. The person at the front desk said our reservation was canceled again, but that we weren’t charged and could have a new room. It was not the jacuzzi room we had originally booked but we were exhausted and rebooked a different room for two nights. There was a spoon on the stairs up to our room and it smelled like smoke in the stairway. Elevator was broken. Our sheets smelled like mildew and there was an old beer in our fridge when we checked in. Upon leaving we discovered we were charged for four nights because our first two reservations that got canceled had been charged after all. We stayed 2 nights and were charged for 4 between bookings directly with the hotel and through Expedia and no one has been willing to give us a refund or help us. We travel often for business and we were long time customers of choice inn so this was very disappointing. Also the sliding wooden door to the bathroom was hard for me to navigate with my arthritic hands. The only good things were the location & hotel bar.
