“What a terrific spot! The bar was comfy, and cosy; the room clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed, and wonderful view of the viaduct and Whernside. And, the fish & chips - exceptional! For us, the staff made our stay, Will, Courtney, Angela, & Val, couldn't do enough for us, despite a very busy bank holiday weekend. Thank you, we had a great evening and a cracking breakfast to boot.”

What really impressed me about the hotel was the extra details everywhere to make it really welcoming and easy for families. Toys, games, high chairs, ramps and accesible options - and even some secret doors for elves & fairies hidden around the place. “Large corporate hotel. Decor is a bit old fashioned and dated, but very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Couldn’t fault it. Reception closes at 10pm so contact them if you are arriving late. Large car park.”

“It's a gothic style hotel,and unusuallcompared to today's run of the mill places .parking good . Near the town . Staff where lovely .the dark haired waitress was funny friendly and attentive .all the reception staff where friendly and helpful .the food was very good quality from the talented chef .I hope he stays at this hotel for future quests to experience his food . .we would stay again and will do next year .
