“Beautiful friendly historic location. Excellent food, comfortable quiet rooms and a decent size car park. Service was great and the WiFi was good. Sir Francis Drake used to live nearby for history buffs. Deep in the Tamar Valley AONB there's much to enjoy. Phone signal is shaky in Milton Combe.”

“The best thing about this hotel is the wonderful staff who work here. Every single one I met was friendly, pleasant and helpful, providing excellent customer service . The rooms were lovely and comfortable with clean bedding , providing a good nights sleep with a ceiling fan and also a desk fan provided during this heatwave . The breakfast was excellent. These things far outweighed the only 2 things which could be improved - better instructions on how to find the hotel, it’s main entrance and...

“The hotel was excellent, especially the staff on reception, a young lady called Jasmin , worth her weight in gold, only hope the hotel realise what a valuable asset she is.”

“Clean and quiet, very comfy bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful, even when I’d asked about a bowling club in Modbury that a family member used, the lovely bar staff said she’d find out for me. Fantastic full English with great sausages. Nothing seemed too much trouble Thanks for a great stay at a difficult time.”
