“The hotel is situated in the beautiful village of Wroxton with many thatched properties. The staff, although mostly young people could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The full English breakfast was excellent, especially the sausages which I suspect may well have been sourced locally. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel which was very good value for the lovely room we were allocated.”

“Room was dirty, scuffed paintwork, stained carpet, skirting boards thick with grime and dust, cobwebs and dead bugs (in the cobwebs) on the ceiling. Not to mention the previous guests dirty towels and sheets were left in a heap in the middle of the floor. At £200 per night excluding breakfast I expect much much better. Very disappointing.”

“A very tired, once charming hotel. In my “deluxe suite” the Roman blind was broken and the room generally had clearly not been decorated for some time. Breakfast was appealing. The choice was exceptionally limited and of poor quality. I ordered scrambled eggs on toast on the disk rat morning. I was served some greasy egg on untoasted, sliced wholemeal bread topped with a fistful of unevenly chopped chives.
