“It was snowing when we arrived. The room was very cold because of no heating. I returned to reception, complained and the heating was connected, After a few hours the room heated up. At 2 am I woke up. The room was very cold and without heating. I called reception for more that 30 minutes but no one answered. In the morning I complained. The hotel answered that there was nothing that could be done. No shampoo in the room. I will not return. Not recommendable.”

“Repetiría el hotel. Echo en falta un control de temperatura en la habitación y más enchufes a mano, pues tuve que desenchufar la televisión para preparar un té. También eché en falta que en la recepción no tuviesen un adaptador para enchufes. El restaurante muy bueno, fantástico y su bodega más que aceptable.”

“Cómoda pero algo antigua ”

“We stayed for two nights and while the room could best be described as adequate, the public areas are spacious, clean and well-decorated. There’s a large car park; the food’s delicious and the staff are friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Although the room was small and a bit dingy, we’d stay again simply because the people are so nice.”

“Had a great stay. Staff were wonderful. Meals in the restaurant were the best I’ve had out for a long time. I’d travel the hour just for the food. Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. It would have been flawless if there was an 2nd pillow and the door from the stairs entry didn’t bang so loundly when people walked through. Both an easy fix. Would definitely recommend”

“Helpful stay and clean bathroom”

“Lovely suite with a private garden terrace. Super sandwiches for lunch outside on the terrace, we were lucky with the weather. The only disappointment was with the à la carte main course. There was very limited choice and the fish and the beef fillet were overcooked, a shame for a Michelin star restaurant but we did not complain and it took a long time for our plates to be cleared, but the desserts were great and they were having a busy day.”

“Lovely cosy accommodation but not in the inn itself. Well equipped but was cold on arrival, had to turn radiators on. Comfy bed and in a stunning location. Lovely pub with open fire.”

“We stayed in the Linwood Suite for 1 night. The room was spacious, luxurious and comfortable. The breakfast was of a high quality. The room is immediately above the function area and noise travels easily (there was a wedding reception) - we weren't warned about this previously but it was not a problem as we went out to dinner and the noise quietened down before midnight. Unfortunately the experience was ruined by loud noise in the room. It was a mechanical noise which sounded like a generator...
