“It was perfect for our stay. Firstly, it was only 5 minutes walk from Harlech Railway station, which was great as we came by train (the ride in along the coast is gorgeous by the way). It is also very convenient for the amazing beach, the wonderful castle & the bustling little town & shops. Our room was clean, quiet & a good size, with a lovely view of the castle. “The room was terrible with a smashed bathroom basin, so I asked for another room. The 2nd room had a smelly damp, mouldy bathroom. There were no common areas. The bar/restaurant areas were kept closed/locked. Reception staff were not at the hotel full time. Only sporadically during the day.”

The bar area had lovely decor (would have been nice to have been a bit warmer as it was a cold, wet, murky evening) and staff friendly and helpful.
