Listen, the hotel is nice for what it is. We needed it as a room to stay in before our cruise the next day. It is was clean (except for the couch bed it was disturbingly yellow), central to port, and had tons of restaurants and the pier nearby. It's the experience that was bizarre. At 3:00 AM a family started shaking out doorknob and trying to get in our room. They were banging on the door and knocking until my son got up and told them this room was occupied. After that this happened again 30 mins later waking us all up again, and it was a different group of people. Then at 4:20 AM, another knock and more people trying to get in the room. We called the front desk, to our surprise, they somehow said our room was available and assigned another family our room and charged me a second time on my card. We called the front desk who apologized said they were fixing it and this, and it shouldn't happen again. Before we left in the morning, a manger spoke with me said they would have refunded us the room if we didnt book through expedia, but did refund the additional charge and apologized greatly for terrible experience. it was beyond strange and have never had this happen at a hotel before in my life. I appreciate the lady who assisted in fixing this for us and the manager for handling this appropriately , but it was not a great stay unfortunately.

My family of 4 was forced to constantly ask for towels from day one because staff only provided sets for 3, even though front desk saw it was 4 people. The manager stated because we used a third party to book, they had no way of knowing how many would arrive. But to that I say, once we checked in and you counted 4 people, there should have been an adjustment. This was an inconvenience from the start, which made us feel like we were annoying the staff. There were stains which looked permanent on the bedding. Upon arrival, hair in the shower and shower wall, hard-water calcium build up on the shower fixtures. There were bleach and dark stains on the couch. A vent above the beds dripped water, which maintenance had to interrupt our stay to fix. The pool water cloudy and the room was cold, which made my child shiver. The iron leaked and stained a shirt. There were broken hangers. Breakfast was microwaved sausage every morning. The menu made us believe there would be something different daily by stating, "today's menu is". Milk was frozen. There was one waffle maker, which made for lines. The food was lukewarm, no microwave for guests in breakfast area. The coffee lackluster. When we made the manager aware, she gave excuses like: guests would take the towels to the beach. the facility was old, and it just went on and on. She did offer some points, but we weren't members. She made the account for us I feel the staff didn't do their job to make our stay a good one.

The view was okay but the A/C took two days to cool room. No hot water, just warm and wall plugs bairly held cords in wall. Breakfast was okay but biscuits were cold. The staff was nice and they returned a Stanley cup I forgot without a hassle. Thanks!

To start with the mattresses were really old & smell in addition the mattress in the sofabed showed signs of rust & spoilage. The AC compressor was inside the room and we heard loud noises all night long. To top it off cockroaches were rampant at night to the point my son and I had one on our head and neck and had to chase it waking up the whole family. Horrible stay. Thank you

Upon arrival the room assigned smelled as if someone has just eaten onion. The staff immediately assigned us to another one. Which smelled cleaner than the initial one. However, the toilet handle was broken, and the iron did not work.
