Gorgeous historical hotel! Rooms and beds are a bit on the small side but keep in mind this hotel was built in 1911. Love the pool area and beach service with the super cute pink umbrellas and loungers was awesome. Fave place to stay in Galveston

The swimup bar was great, and the pool was wonderful (saltwater, no chlorine). The resort is gorgeous, and everyone is so helpful. I went for my birthday, so the birthday dessert (lemon ricotta cake with berries) was decadent. The spa was a fantastic experience ( you don't need to stay at the resort to use the spa). Well worth the indulgence.

Don’t waste your money. There are nicer, less expensive hotels to stay at. The hotel is old and needs some basic maintenance in the rooms and at the pool. The only redeeming aspect was that the bed and bedding were very comfortable and the brunch was good.

We had an amazing time here! The room was listed as a “city view” but we actually had a view of the amazing Galveston cruise ships! The property was charming and well maintained. The pool and swim up bar was relaxing and clean. The food was amazing, although we couldn’t eat in the fine dining restaurant inside the resort. My husband didn’t have a collared shirt (noted for next time) but the bar serves food and we were completely ok with that. We were ok for the restaurant at breakfast. Highly recommended for a classy stay in Galveston!!

Great hotel in a very nice location, close to the beachfront. The hotel has an elegant, historic style ambiance. They also have their own beach setup if you want to use their chairs by the beach. Breakfast was very good and overall the price was very reasonable for the experience. I would definitely recommend it if you are visiting Galveston.

The property has a long history of elegance which comes through with its decor and service. The price is very reasonable for a resort hotel, but the room that we were given was very, very small. We were just over night guests, so the space was sufficient. The friendliness of the staff added to our enjoyment of this grand hotel. We will definitely return.
