“The room was very large and clean as was the bathroom. But it felt cosy. The staff at the pub were incredibly nice and helpful. It was a very nice, comforting stay with good food.”

“We really enjoyed the stay. The owner, Richard was lovely and friendly. It’s an old guesthouse, but it is part of its charm, and the room was kept clean. We stayed in a twin room, we wished that there had been a bedside ramp, but it’s not the end of the world. The only thing that we will miss would be there is no fridge if we visit in warmer days. “Highly recommended. Well-equipped room. Spotlessly clean. Only (very) minor drawback was the narrow staircase to the second floor. Staff members were super helpful - I only regret not sampling the Welsh traditional breakfast!! Hotel is in a great location with a short walk to in-town facilities (shops, restaurants & bars). And plenty of parking on the quiet access road in front of the hotel.”

“The views are excellent- Staff very welcoming and friendly. Rooms very comfortable but warning of some sloping ceilings! Amenities very good - good value for money. Breakfast very good. Good choice menu in the evening but disappointed that apple and blackberry pie not available for 4 nights of our stay! Dog friendly - which is great for dog owners but personally - I wasnt so happy re a couple with 2 big dogs being allowed into the dining room in the evening.”

“A friendly welcome to the property. Although nowhere in the village to eat in the evening, we were recommended a restaurant 5 minute drive away in Corwen. Straightforward continental breakfast in the morning available. As the pub shut at 10pm, there was no late night noise so enjoyed a good night's sleep. A great base for exploring the area.”

“Fantastic property in a great location just a few minutes walk from the town. Sean was incredibly accommodating from the minute I arrived, providing me with books and information of snowdon routes ahead of my climb! Absolute 10/10 breakfast cooked by sean, again he was very accommodating providing me the option to have it earlier than the usual time so I could get up the mountain quicker. If I ever return I’ll be sure to stay here again, fantastic stay.”
