“The cottage was beautiful, well equipped, comfy, cosy, well situated and an absolute gem! Go no further than Frinton Escapes! My first time and the cottage was ideal. Close to ALL amenities in a close, so quiet but everything on its doorstep. Great history behind it too. If you do t go, you will be the loser! ”

“A bit unusual checking in at the nearby restaurant, as we arrived fairly late, it was lucky the restaurant was still open but no problems the bar staff were very helpful and quick to issue the key cards. Room was quiet, didnt hear any other guests, although there was some noise (motorbikes) from the road outside at about 11 pm. Parking was plentiful but disappointing the EV charging station was not working, had to find charging elsewhere Morrisons.”

“I stayed at this hotel for three nights and had a pleasant stay. The room was clean and tidy. Although there isn’t any air conditioning, there is a fan. I didn’t miss having air conditioning, as the room didn’t get too hot, even though I was staying on the top floor. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. “It was very shabby and it smelt bad. It is conveniently situated for the centre of Clacton but it was very noisy and so I didn't sleep well. There was very little space in the bathroom. They don't do breakfasts so I had to schlep round town in the heat trying to find somewhere. On a positive note the gentleman was very friendly and welcoming when I checked in.”

“The hotel is extremely well situated right on the front and close to the pier. It is currently undergoing some much-needed maintenance, leading to some unwelcome building noise and obstructions. There were a number of issues with our room, including a shower which would not drain properly, and dodgy wifi, leading also to problems with the TV. “Room basic but very clean, beds really comfy, you get free parking and it's approx 10 min walk along the high street to the beach. Water in bathroom is on some type of water flow restrictor so don't expect a power shower however, the water was hot and bathroom very clean. Person who checked us in wasn't the most welcoming however, the person on reception the next morning was helpful. “Michael was great as a host and had terrific communication. The unit is spacious and well laid out. The only issue was the couch. It looked great but was uncomfortable. The propertv is a block away from the entertainment district. Perfect place for a weekend get away. ”
