“My wife and I stayed for three nights at Bartles Lodge in August 2026. We were warmly welcomed by proprieters upon arrival. The premises were clean and comfortable, we opted for a continental breakfast and the selection offered was excellent. We ate two evening meals which were hot and tasty and well presented. “We stayed here two years previous. The location of the property and the hotel itself are excellent. We also found the food excellent (better than last time). However, the service was poor - they felt understaffed and even non busy mealtimes seemed a strain on resources. Not very efficient… The hotel could be excellent, but just felt lacking on this occasion.”

“Just had a wonderful stay at The Pheasant, Holt, Norfolk. The hotel was very comfortable, lovely bedrooms and equally lovely seating areas downstairs. We were out and about most of the time, as one would expect to be on a short vacation however, the ambience and comfort when at the hotel was simply wonderful.
