“Lots of parking at the rear of the pub. Food was amazing & choice of drinks. Our room was lovely. Good size, bed was amazing and en-suite with bath. The inn had a lot of character. Very quiet village so we spent the evening in the pub with other couples staying at the Inn.”

“Our room was well maintained and we like staying in unique, historic properties. A bath in the nook in front of the window seemed a little strange. We thought a sofa with a coffee table would be a more relaxing option after a day of sightseeing. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The state of the beer garden is a shame. It looked really run down albeit unique with a throne at one of the tables. If you struggle with mobility, the car park is between 5 - 10 mins walk away. Not a...

“We travelled as a couple with our dog. From arrival all staff were very friendly and welcoming and explained local walks (with a map) that we could do with our dog. The room was exceptionally well kept and clean with lovely finishes. We had a balcony looking out over lush gardens and we could hear the river flowing which was beautiful. We had dinner and breakfast both exceptionally and good value. The lounge area was lovely and great place to chill. For an old mill it looks so well kept and...

“Staff were very kind and considerate during the stay. Unfortunately, the rooms leaked a lot of sound. We are aware we’d likely hear the road during our stay due to proximity, but we hadn’t considered we might hear every move and sound from the surrounding rooms. Due to the design of the building, the five rooms attached to ours could be heard. This was e”

“Genial!”

“Beatiful and ancient hotel, I had a perfect stayed”

“A very pleasant stay, the place is very quiet, accessible and with a huge parking lot. The staff was very helpful. We loved the restaurant with a great variety of dishes, which we enjoyed as much as we could in our short stay. The room, cozy and comfortable.”

“This was one of the best stays that I’ve experienced in a while. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly upon arrival and were happy to answer any questions. I was traveling alone with two children and the staff were intuitive and accommodating. The food was phenomenal and the breakfast the next morning was really good as well.”

“The 1st room had a very bad drain smell ,the 2nd room was dirty and dated The food and drink was good tho”

“Me gustó. El personal muy amable! 🤗”

“Stunning place and great walking trails to explore. Staff were all welcoming and the food was exquisite.”

“El hotel se encuentra en una ubicación privilegiada dentro de Exeter, a 5min andando tanto del centro como del muelle ("quay"). El edificio, un antiguo hospital, es realmente bonito por fuera y muy cuidado por dentro. El personal muy agradable, y el desayuno increíble, con servicio de cocina aparte del buffet. Como pega, el tamaño de las habitaciones "individuales", verdaderamente pequeñas, aunque acogedoras.”

“Great staff, friendly and attentive. Amazing food, real ale, extensive wine list. Reminiscent of how hotels used to be before corporate takeovers”

“No room service available.”
