“The hotel is an old building, grade 2 listed, and as such is harder to maintain, but a lovely place to be - so you have to be a little forgiving regarding the quirks and the odd mishap. We were given a better room than the one booked - it faced the road and the traffic was a bit noisy, but we weren't bothered by it. “The room was tired and Amenities were poor. Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Reception welcome was far from a welcome. The bathroom was filthy with black mould marks and the Bathroom door was completely rotten. The walls were paper thin - I was kept awake until after midnight. I phoning reception 3 times to ask if the room next door could turn their television down which was blaring for hours. After the third phone call over 2 hours they eventually did at 10.30pm.
